AREEF: Multi-Player Underwater Augmented Reality Game

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

In collaboration with The Creative Quarter we present AREEF, the world's first multi-player Underwater Augmented Reality game. AREEF lets you swim with virtual fishes in a real pool at the Victoria Leisure Centre in Nottingham. Using our water-proofed tablet computers, up to three kids (age 8-12) at a time can dive into a fascinating new game world and complete small quests in a virtual coral reef environment.

AREEF is the result of a Korean-German research project that was led by Fraunhofer FIT, Germany. For the first time ever, the game will now staged in the UK as part of GameCity 9.

You need to book in advance to play AREEF! You can do this by calling into your nearest Nottingham City Leisure centre, or by calling 0115 8761600

There is a £1.50 charge per-participant to take part.

Parents will be able to attend with their child to support them at no cost in a non-participating role.
