The story of how I came to make Tricone Lab

A talk about Tricone Lab:

Tricone Lab is a highly original 2-D puzzle game for PC/Mac/Linux. Each puzzle level is a microscopic multicellular organism. You must use the elements within to create a substance called Tricone.

Basic resources are combined together to produce compound nodes. In turn these are used to alter the structure of the organism. This allows further reactions, with the end goal of producing Tricone.

The game introduces each gameplay element via a simple tutorial. Once an element such as a cell type or compound node has been mastered, various elements are then combined together to produce dozens of harder puzzles. You can also create your own puzzles using a graphical editor, and share these puzzles for others to solve.

While interacting with the fluid organic microbes has a broad appeal, the advanced levels of the game will most likely attract players who appreciate pure logic puzzles requiring lateral thinking.
