Story Games with Tom Hatfield: Breakfast Cult

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Roleplaying games allow you to create shared stories between you and your friends. Create tales of the time you joined the Mouse Guard and fought a snake, of when you stopped your friend summoning the Ancient One that will destroy the earth or the lovely adventures you had travelling on an airship.

Between Monday and Friday during the festival freelance game journalist Tom Hatfield will be teaching you to play some of his favourite games. It doesn't matter whether you've never played this type of game before (or even heard of them!), this event is open to anyone who is curious and wants to play.

Each day there will be different games to play, including:

Monday: Inverse World - An airship adventuring 'weird fantasy' setting for the popular Dungeon World system where you play to find out what happens.

Tuesday: Feng Shui 2 - Channel your inner John Woo or Jackie Chan in the classic game of Hong Kong action cinema.

Wednesday: Breakfast Cult - A group of high school students meet in detention to chat, bond and figure out which one of them is secretly summoning an eldritch horror.

Thursday: Mouse Guard - The brave adventurers of the Mouse Guard are the only thing that can protect their fellow rodents from danger and predators.

Friday: Gamma World - Play as an electric cockroach, a robotic kitten or a siesmic yeti in a bizzare post apocalyptic world of mishmash mutations.

These sessions are first come, first served so turn up early! Sched sign-up doesn't gaurantee participation.
