Game designers and scientists have a lot in common.
They both spend their time examining interesting systems. Both work experimentally. Both tell stories to make their work relevant to a wider audience. This session will illuminate some of the many different ways in which a direct working relationship between games-makers and scientists can be mutually beneficial - creating richer, more original and more interesting games, while expanding the reach of scientific work. The panel will draw upon examples from their own direct experiences to give guidance and inspiration to anyone working in either field, and to talk specifically about ways in which new work in this area can be funded.
