Join Lumino City creator Katherine Bidwell to create a 3D shoebox world. Your shoebox will become part of a large storyboard developed throughout GameCity. With a beginning and end shoebox already completed participants will fill in the blanks. Inspired by Lumino City, participants will first take a look around the Lumino City exhibition and game models, to help inspire their own mini-worlds in a shoebox. Participants will then plan their design, then set about creating their own versions using paper, card, glue and cutouts. Step by step advice will be given by Katherine throughout the workshop and you will have the opportunity to practice different techniques in craft and design, and get to grips with a different style of game design.
This session will feature a special guest, model maker Amy Dodd.
